What is Stiffness?

Stiffness is restricted movement of joint. There is a pain on movement of joint. It may be the symptom of osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and ankylosing spondilytis. It may be caused by injury or overuse.

I am looking to speak to an Orthopedist. I just typed out my question. I have osteoarthritis in both knees. As of late both of my thighs have become really stiff making it almost impossible to walk. I started physical therapy and am being weaned off of steroids I used for another condition.

I have a very stiff neck; I can twist it left and right with minimal stiffness, but I cannot tip it back. I have some sinus drainage, the glands under my chin are slightly swollen and are sore when I tilt my head back. I do not have a fever. The stiffness was worse last night. Any ideas?
