Severe nausea

What is Severe nausea?

Severe nausea may be defined as the strong urge or sensation by the body to regurgitate and expel its stomach contents. In human beings this is always considered a reflex response to something which is noxiously irritating a location in the GI tract (often the stomach). Nausea may also be stimulated by higher brain centers in response to noxious stimulation of the brain stem.
