What is Retinopathy of prematurity?

Retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) or Terry syndrome,previously known as retrolental fibroplasia (RLF), is a disease of the eye affecting prematurely-born babies generally having received intensive neonatal care, in which oxygen therapy is often used and advantageous.
