Radiation poisoning

What is Radiation poisoning?

Ionising Radiation damages cells in your body and can be quite harmful in higher doses. Sources of ionizing radiation include X-ray machines, CT scans etc. Even flying at altitude in an airplane can expose you to ionizing radiation. But the doses are small. Higher doses (1-2gray) will cause nausea, vomiting, skin injury etc. Large amounts of ionizing radiation exposure can cause death.
