What is Placenta praevia?

Placenta praevia is abnormal position of the placenta in the lower uterine segment. There are risks of haemorrhages .It is divided in 4 types . The greater risk is with type 2a and type 3. It depend on the position in proximity with the internal os . It is associated with increases risks of haemorrhages . Etiology is previous lscs scar. The patient presents with antepartum haemorrhage.
