I m 70 years old now have osteoporosis . Soon to have bone density to establish severity. Most of my adult life I used alcohol, just guessing but maybe a drink a day. Has this contributed to the problem? My mom also has osteoporosis, died at 89. I stretch and walk but ache all over after 4-5 hours of housework. Thanks for your concern.

Is it ok to stop taking fosomax will the bones continue to heal with calcium, vit d and regular walking? I feel the fosomax has caused the pain in my right shoulder even though the GP thinks it is tendonitis.
