hii, i am male 31 years old. i have high cholestrol and i have been taking cholestrol tablets(atrovostatin) for the past 6 years. i have a fatlly liver, stage 2. my mother has a auto immune hep B and liver cirrhosis.i had my liver function tests and all my readings were high. i am concerned about liver now. what odes the stage 2 means as far as fatty liver is concerned? any tips to slove this problem??

Fatty liver is a very common disease among young adults due to changing life style.

hello, my mother is suffering from liver cirrhosis, we are giving her proper veg. diet and medication and she has started showing signs of improvement. She is vegetarian and our doctor has prescribed her non veg pretentious diet which she refuses. is it OK for her or we should obliged her to take non veg.

hello, all doctors i am here for my dad is suffering from liver cirrhosis and stone in gall bladder, 15 days back he became unconcious and unable to identify any one in home then we took him to hospitol then he was kept in ICU for 5 days then after treatment he came back to censes, in the mean process aprox 1 and half litre water pumped from stomuch and now again there is sign of swelling and filling of water in stomuch then again we consult our doctor they suggested for liver transplant,

Hello Sir, My brother 48 years old belongs to lucknow, non alcoholic, neither smoking nor any bad December 2010 after swelling in stomach found that having the liver cirrhosis. presently the HCV virus was found around 6 Lacs viruses. can you please tell that any of the treatment is possible without transplant of liver because it is not effordable for us.

What is the life expectancy of someone who has liver cirrhosis due to alcoholism? He has been diagnosed and has ascites, jaundice, nerve damage, extreme weight loss (you can see his spinal cord). What will happen if left untreated and if he continues to drink heavily?

HI, my mother had liver cirrhosis from last one year, she is 65 year old, 64kg wt, no blood pressur, no blood sugar, she is taking medicin as describe by gastroenterologist MD doctor as per following, Rablet20 , folvite, Looz, torfix she had proble of water cloting in foot (leg). please sujest any medicin. Am diagnosed with liver cirrhosis. Hypo dense lesions also seen in liver. Udiliv 300 mg prescribed. How long it can be taken. Any side effects ? Your expert opinion on my condition and line of treatment pl.

You really do not need to take Udiliv for cirrhosis. You can stop taking it.

Blood in stool if colonoscopy is normal suggest it is from upper Gi tract or small intestine, more likely to be from upper GI tract. So I will suggest you to ask your doctor to do endoscopy examination for management.

My mother in law (54+) was detected to have liver cirrhosis four years ago when she was being operated gall stones. the operations could not be done. Six months ago she had an attack of acute pancreatitis. Doctors have advised removal of gallstones. Can it be done at CMC Vellore and if yes, whom should we contact.
It's a case of pancreatitis induced by gall stones, fairly common in females. It has to be operated, that's the only solution.. You can call them directly from their number given on their website
