What is Leukonychia?

Leukonychia means White nails characterized by transverse/multiple parallel white line/white spots on the nails . This condition is seen in liver diseases like cirrhosis, Hypoalbuminemia, Chronic renal failure, Iron deficiency anemia, Malnutrition. They can also occur due to traumatic manicures.
