What is Lambert-eaton syndrome?

Lambart Eaton Syndrome is a rare disorder of neuromuscular transmission caused by impaired release of acetylcholine from the presynaptic terminal. It is characterised by proximal muscle weakness and autonomic changes. It is associated with several types of cancer most notably Small Cell Lung Cancer (SCLC).
