What is Knee pain?

Knee pain can be caused by a sudden injury, an overuse injury or by an underlying condition such as arthritis. Treatment will vary depending on the cause. Symptoms of knee injury can include pain, swelling, and stiffness.A thorough examination will usually establish the diagnosis of knee pain. Medications, physiotherapy, steroid injections and lastly surgery are mainstay of treatment.

Back in 2010 I was diagnosed with non-displaced fracture of right knee patella The MRI stated that I have Myoid degeneration posterior aspect medial meniscus, my knee pain is getting worse and can take weeks , for the pain to get relieved does this mean its getting worse and I should consult a Orthopedic DR?

Meniscus injury can be managed by arthroscopic repair,and same day you can go home.
As per your symptoms you need to do physiotherapy and knee exercises to improve range of motion .

i have been on the depo shot since august (2 shots total), i bleed for about 2 weeks after the shot. no bleeding since then, but recently i have been experincing horrible knee pain. and i have been having pregnancy symptoms. could i be pregnant? is my knee pain associated with bone density loss this early? any comments are better than none. thanks! ps and im due for my next shot in feb. debating on whether to get it because of my knee pain.

hello doctor i have terrible knee pain when i play football now....im very good at football and this affecting me a lot..i started masturbating at the age of 14 and stopped it at the age of 20...but i still get nightfalls when i twist and turn on the bed...i dont get erections now..i feel miserable.plz help

As a first line management you can take analgesics like Paracetamol or Aceclofenac for pain relief. If symptoms persists you can consult an orthopedics and plan for an MRI scan for further assessment.

1. Gap never increases , it always decreases.
2.medicines has no relation with weight gain except few such as steroids.
