My son is 15 months old. He was given vaxigrip vaccine ( Influenza ) 2 doses last year when he was 7 months and 8 months. Is is compulsory to give this vaccine again this year. Please advise. Rakesh

According to IAP, Hemophilus Influenzae Vaccine should be given in 10wks, 14 wks and 18 months and only under special circumstances the Influenza vaccine is given in 12 months. You should be consulting your Child's Doctor for second Opinion.

3 days ago i visited my doctor and was diagnosed with influenza, now after taking tamiflu, z-pack and cough syrup with vico, i started to recieve an uncomfortable almost painful shooting pain only down my lung area....whats my next step another trip perhaps?

Yes, you should definitely consult your doctor again and get done chest x ray.
Influenza viral infection of lungs can cause pneumonia, pleural effusion, pleurisy etc.
And all these can cause sharp shooting chest pain.

hi my daughter is almost 2 years old... she had a frequent vomitn', lose of apetite and has a yellowish fluid stool...and as for now she experienced influenza and very weak...I'm really worried doc.. i hate what the doctors advice for my daughter they said they can't determine the virus they can't even say a thing for me... Kindly give biff lac sachet half sachet 3 times a day and syrup ofloxacin 100mg per 5 ml at dose of 3 ml twice a day mam..avoid milk and milk products for a short duration mam..give idly, I'd iyappan and curd rice and plenty of ors fluids mam.

Hello, I had a high fever of 109 and well I was rushed to emergency care but I had some questions during my time with this fever i had really bad head aches a slight nose bleed and vision was blurring what type of illness could cause such a high fever was it just a normal case of influenza?
i think user question is not correct fever is 109 if so check the bp because ur complaining about blurred vision and nose should be examined for nasal bleed if bp was normal then apply nasivion nasal drops

I have had blood tests a few weeks ago and was told I had a bacterial infection as well as the influenza virus I am still unwell and now have what I think maybe pink eye as well as swollen glands and a sore throat and aches and pains again this has been going on now for about six weeks
