Hi my son just went to prison for a year, and the say he has high cholesterol and put him on a drug call pravastatin. He also found out over a year ago he has Hepatitus, the on gotten thru sharing needles. He told me he is refusing to take the high cholesterol med, because it can cause liver problems, and since he has hep can that make his liver worse quicker??

i dont think that pravastatin can cause significant liver damage and it should be used if there is indication. High cholesterol will cause mor eliver damage than this drug. he should regulate his liver enzymes levels and follow hepatic diet,avoid alcohol,drugs and fatty...

I recently had blood work done - the results came back with high triglycerides, high cholesterol, and low on vitamin D. I really don't want to go on drugs to control these issues, I would rather do it naturally. can you give advice of a diet plan that may help?

You have to take a low fat, low carbohydrate diet.

Avoid all sources of saturated and trans fat like ghee, butter ,lard, cream, full fat cheese, fried foods, processed foods, bakery products, full fat dairy products and egg yolks .

hello, my four year old daughter has had about two maybe three UTI and now they said there was blood in her urine.this is her second time that they have found blood in the urine but the first time they made me retest and it came back fine and normal. now about 2 months later they found blood in her urine again. what could that mean and could it be related to high cholesterol in anyway, which they also just told me she had?

dear doctor yesterday i undergone blood test. the result indicates that i have 113 sgpt and 288 high cholesterol, im 34 years old and im obese for my weight thats what my doctor said... can you give me some advice how to lower my sgpt in 2 weeks for I will repeat the test for it..thanks
