What is Hereditary thrombophilias?

Thrombophilia can be defined as a predisposition to form clots inappropriately.The predisposition to form clots can arise from genetic factors or acquired changes. A hereditary thrombophilia results when an inherited factor, such as antithrombin or protein C deficiency, requires interaction with components that are inherited or acquired before onset of a clinical disorder.
