What is Erythema ab igne?

Erythema ab igne is a skin condition with erythema, hyperpigmentation, scaling and telangiectasias caused by prolonged thermal radiation exposure (infrared radiations). Also called as hot water bottle rash, fire stains, laptop thigh, granny's tartan and toasted skin syndrome.
