doctor1 MD

Hi,

Thank you for posting your query.

I have noted your diagnosis, medications and current symptoms.

In my opinion, you should stop taking tryptomer (amitriptyline) for two reasons- firstly, it is not needed in your case, as it would not reduce your tremors. Secondly, drowsiness is a side effect...

Hi,
Medication for seizures has to be individualized for all patients. It is best decided after a thorough examination and history by a neurologist. Some medications may be suitable but others may cause reactions or won't work that well for the patients, in that situation they need to be changed...

Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum.

My daughter is 9, she has been diagnosed with autism however at around 3 she was put on meds for focal sizures. She has since then come off the meds and she has an episode about 2-3 month where her anxiety goes up and she will start to have nose bleeds and then what apears the post symptoms of a seizure where all she wants to do is sleep. She has recently went to the nurologist who doesn t seem to have any answers for me. Can children have a nosebleed prior to seizures? Can anxiety cause a seizure to take place? Thanks, Mom in SC

My sister was diagnosed with Frontal Lobe Seizure Disorder today. She had two successive falls two days back. No other symptoms, usually attributed to fits, were observed. Her EEG report showed spikes in the front lobes. The doctor has prescribed Oxetol 450 everyday. Is this disorder curable? I am worried about the side effects of the medication. Kindly advice.
