What is Digeorge?

DiGeorge Syndrome is a genetic disorder that may cause a number of abnormalities. These include heart defects, learning difficulties, cleft palate and other problems. Not all patients are severely affected and many will lead relatively normal lives. The underlying problem is the result of a chromosomal abnormality in which a part of the chromosome is missing.
