What is Dequervain's disease?

Stenosing tenovaginitis of the tendon of abductor policis longus and extensor policis brevis through the tunnel over-lying the wrist and thumb is Dequervain's disease.More common in thyroid suffers,diabetics.Repetitive injury to the tendon tunnel due to constant thumb movement causes inflammation of the tunnel giving rise to pain clicking sensation over the top of thumb.Injection splinting surgery
