Coryza
What is Coryza?
Coryza also known as the common cold is an upper respiratory tract infection which is usually self-limiting mild infection caused by rhinoviruses or coronaviruses. It is contracted by inhalation of airborne respiratory droplets from people infected with the virus. It possibly also occurs by direct contact with infectious secretions. There are no drugs of proven benefit for the prophylaxis or treatment of the common cold, although many things have been suggested. Medical management is centred around providing symptomatic relief.
