Av blocks

What is Av blocks?

An AV block would be any process or entity that causes a disruption in the usual flowing electrical connection between the atria of the heart and the ventricles. Most commonly this occurs as the result of scarring of tissue within the conductance trajectory. The result is a change in the rhythm and/or rate of the heart.
