Hello. My 8 year old daughter has been experiencing stomach pain only after eating for over one month now. She had chickenpox two months ago. At first I thought it was constipation or gas pain. She was encouraged to drink more water. Her bowel movements are sometimes green and normal consistency or orange and soft consistency. She never has a fever or vomits. The pain seems to be in the lower intestine and nothing feels tender when I press over each quadrant of her abdomen. We have tried to avoid bread or dairy at times to see if she responds better and it doesn't seem to make a difference. She's not under any stress and doesn't try to avoid school or activities. Could this be a virus?

doctor1 MD

Brief Answer:
this could be parasitic infestation

Detailed Answer:
Hi

You have given good detailed history. We also need to consider parasitic infestation like Giardia, amoeba or worms as the cause of such long standing pain. Second cause could be deficiency of digestive enzymes which can occur...

What is the best pubic lice treatment?

doctor1 MD

I ve had swollen hands the past two days and have been excessively tired for 2weeks - I have to sleep every 5 or 6 hours. One day I came home and my eyes were blurry and I couldn t focus, I was dizzy and had nasea. It went away in an hour. I have a dry cough now for a few days and my body aches. I have a baby kitten and it scratches me/bites alot. I had creeping eruption on my foot a week ago, and they gave me an anti parasitic drug that I took a day before my vision was blurry. I don t know if any of this matters but I m wondering if the swollen and aching body is more than a cold and needs to be checked out. Thanks!

I have had moderate to severe tinnitus for 4 months and live in Medellin South America. I have had an audio exam and lost some high frequencies from music when I was young and had an ear infection from a severe flu which triggered it here 4 months ago. I have had thorough exams and have good blood pressure and no obvious blockage or damage to the ear. I have tried anti virals and use Serc (Beta histadine) and vitamins like ginkgo bioba/vinpiocetine and B vitmains. Not much success with those.I tried albendazole/secnidazol as a one day parasite cleanse and the condition got much better. Visual exams of my stool was negative. Should I continue with this anti parasite treatment?
