This could be carpal or cubital tunnel syndrome which is compression of the median nerve at the wrist in the carpal tunnel or the ulna nerve in the cubital tunnel at the back of the elbow. If the thumb side of your hand is effected it is carpal tunnel syndrome, the pinky side cubital. Splints on your wrists or elbows at night can help. Physio can be of benefit and steroid injections. Surgery also.

Cubital tunnel syndrome is the restriction in the elbow region producing pain and difficult movements. The treatment would be to remove any restrictions by medications or surgery. Visit an Orthopedician for evaluation and treatment.
