Hi, She may need a procedure called nail avulsion which involves removal of the entire nail and allowing it to grow back normally. Depending on the grading of the nail she may also require a course of antibiotics and nail matrix cauterization during the removal procedure. You can consult a dermatosurgeon for the same. The nail in future should be cut straight across at the top. Take care.
