Neurologist 's  Response
Hi,

Thank you for posting your query.

The "sciatic nerve" pain needs to be evaluated by clinical examination, and by doing MRI scan of spine. The pain could be due to pinched nerves in the lower back region.

Initial treatment would consist of medications such as pregabalin or gabapentin capsules, and physiotherapy.

If pain does not improve, epidural injections may be given.

In some cases, surgery may be needed.

I hope my reply has helped you.

I would be pleased to answer, if you have any follow up queries or if you require any further information.

Best wishes,
