Hi dear.Thanks for your query. Gram negative diplococci is a type/strain of bacteria.If the report says negative that simply means the bacteria/infection due to this is absent.This tested to make a choice of antibiotic which has to be used to treat infection if any.Reply with thanks if my answer helps.
