Swelling Behind The Ears, Very Painful. Massaging Using Reflexology. What Could Be The Reason?

Directly behind my ear, approximately mid lobe, right side, is slightly swollen and very painful. I don't know if it is a gland or a muscle or what. I've been massaging using reflexology, those areas that correlate to the area. It is painful on those tissue sites as well. What would cause that suddenly? I thought it might be stress related, but most of my stress is carried in my shoulders. I have a massage scheduled in 3 days. Should i cancel it or will it affect the swelling and cause more pain?

Hi
Thanks for your query
I can feel your concern
this seems to be an infection in your internal ear or just beneath the skin , it needs clincal examination and get your hearing test along with using antibiotics.

Have a proper clinical examination
Hope it helps
