What Causes Sudden Farsightedness?

my 7 year old is suddenly farsighted. she cannot read her books and only if in large letters. she has been an extremely good reader and far above her grade level. We just got back from a trip to Washington DC
from california by airplane. I am very concerned at this profound change in her sight. She cant participate
in school when it comes time to read. What do you think. I have an appointment for her in a few days with an ophthalmologist.
Thank you

Ophthalmologist 's  Response
Hello
It seems from the history that your daughter is difficulty in reading near things.
This can occur in refractive errors in hypermetropia.
The other causes for loss of vision for near only are use of mydriatic eye drops or because of pathological problems like poor accommodation or internal oohthamoplegia.
Hence I advice you to consult your ophthalmologist for examination and treatment accordingly.

Thank you
