Are Long Walks Recommended Post Total Knee Replacement?

After a total knee replacement is it possible to do too much excercise? I seem to be able to walk quite a distance comfortably and bend my knee and sit upright. Stairs are ok too. I walk about quite a lot and someone has told me not to do it as it could cause problems with blood clots. I am still wearing the socks and I had the op 10 dys ago.

There is no need to restrict your activities. You can walk as much as you want and there is no need to stay at bed or take rest. You can rise stairs also. As far as clot problem is concerned it is more commonly seen in bed ridden patients and when you wlak more you will feel much better.
