Low Grade Fever, Frequent Urination, Fatigue. Recovering From Bacterial Pneumonia. Anything To Worry?
I am recovering from bacterial pneumonia, but I still have a low grade fever after three weeks and after 10 days of a cup to type antibiotic. ( I am allergic to penicillin and sulfa.) I also urinate frequently and my urine is dark in the morning. I still feel fatigued, but I thought this could be because of the antibiotic which I finished two days ago. Since I rarely have high fever, even with pneumonia, I am concerned that I still have fever at all. Should I be this concerned?
This is good that you are recovering from Pneumonia,if you still have fever your doctor may want to give antibiotic for some more time may be with change of antibiotic which will will eliminate infection.
Fatigue may be there because of infection and toxemia which causes increased catabolism.
Please consult your Physician and get examined and if necessary complete blood count, Urine analysis and X ray chest may be performed to asses any abnormality.
If everything is fine you will recover in few days take care of diet and hydration.
Hope this information helps you.
Wish you good Health. Take care. Good Luck Dr.Akhilesh Dubey M.D
