Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) can also cause hair loss(‘lupus hairs’) and again common in relatively younger age group. you need to undergo Thyroid function tests like free T3,free T4 and TSH and also serum Antinuclear antibody tests (ANA),useful screening test

Hi. Hair fall can be an absolutely normal phenomenon most of the time. Sometimes it can be associated with other symptoms like joint pains, oral ulcers, photosensitive rash and arthritis which can be due to a systemic condition called systemic lupus erythematosus. Hair loss if severe can also be due to autoimmune disease called alopecia areata. Now go consult a dermatologist please.
