I suppose you meant elephantiasis? it is chronic swelling of a limb, mostly the lower limbs as a result of a blockage of the lymphatic drainage system bey filaria worm. The most common cause is wuchereria bancrofti. It cannot be cured unless at a very early stage which is rarely the case. However, treatment can prevent further aggravation of symptoms.
