Hi.. Its called pneumocephalus.. All skull structures have pockets for air called sinus, if any damage to the sinus occurs either by trauma or surgically it causes the air to escape into the head and collection around/in the brain called pneumocephalus. In your scenario its itrogenic ( surgery induced) which is normally very minimal. Such pneumocephalus will resolve on its own.
