Does Clarithromycin ER(500mg) Cure Eye Infection?
Thank you. I have an upper respiratory tract infection. Was just at the doctor and he prescribed Clarithromycin ER (500mg), Prednisone (20mg), and Tessalon Perle. I also have developed eye infections in both eyes. Does the Clarithromycin work to fight the eye infection (assuming it s bacterial)? Thank you.

Hi,
This antibiotic do work in eye infection but using of local antibiotic eye drops works better.
Put antibiotic eye drops every 2-3 hourly.
Ok and take care.
