perhaps a placebo. But if you were looking for an actual treatment, there are many but it depends upon the cause of the ringing in the ears. If it is from nerve damage, sometimes medications that damp down nerves are helpful (amitryptiline with lidocaine effects; sedatives) mostly.. not treatable. If ear wax or ear infection, treatable.
