Does Diuretic Help Swelling In Ankles?

Yes..what causes swelling in the ankles..does a diuretic really help? I have been on hydrocholothiazid years ago but am not at present....when I elevate them the swelling does go down...they feel tight at times...I need to exercise more...I had been exercising 30 minutes a day for over a year and this stopped...exercise did really help...

yes..ankle swelling is caused by dependent edima and also due to blood clots. Exercise helps to reduce edima.
