Have Spina Bifida, Uterine Fibroid, Anemia. Is Hysterectomy The Best Way?
I have spina bifida and I'm also dealing with a uterine fibroid which causes me to bleed and have anemia I want to know what is the best surgery to have because I want to have a hysterectomy and I want to eliminate major surgery can you tell me what is the best way to get thehysterectomy for a patient with spina bifida?

There is no serious risk in undergoing hysterectomy for those who have spina bifida. Hysterectomy is done in 3 ways.
1. Trans abdominal hysterectomy
2. Trans vaginal hysterectomy
3. Robotic hysterectomy
All the above methods are being done regularly in hospital throughout the world. Your anesthetist should be made aware of your spina bifida so that they can plan your surgery accordingly.
