Hello! No,because they are 2 different disease with very distinct symptoms and signs. Atrial fibrillation causes specific changes in ECG ,and ECG is normal in COPD. The diagnosis of COPD is established by pulmonary function tests (spirometry). So there is no way to misdiagnose Afib as COPD. Regards!

Not exactly , It depends on how much damage is already there. However , it is said , if there is not much damage , 2o years smoke free , will give lungs which are almost like a normal person. But again , this statement has many *conditions apply!! Show me ur xray , and tell symptoms, i ll give you an idea.
