Hi Thanks for posting Do you take alcohol? As it is the common cause for raised SGPT.The other causes are viral hepatitis.Visit a physician for further help. Hope this helps

No there is no need to fast. I would advise you to avoid any alcohol for 24 hours before the test if you want to avoid any abnormalities due to the alcohol. This is a routine blood test that can be done at any time of the day. Let me know if you have any further questions or concerns

That depends on how many days and how much you have consumed . If you have consumed alcohol for months or taken large quantities for even few days then it may take 6-8 weeks to get the Liver enzymes back to normal .
