Water Diarrhea, Eating Gerber, Banana, Pedialyte

My son turned 1 three days ago. I introduced him to whole milk 2 days ago. The following night he had two instances, of water diarrhea and n one through the night. Today he had nine similar dirty pampers throughout the day. The last one was a little less watery. He had half a gerber (banana/apple) in the morning and another half a gerber(peas) around 6. He also had a little less than half a banana in the afternoon, that was about the, only thing that he didn t reject. I bought and started him on pedialyte . He drank about 3 oz around 8:30 pm and 4oz 15 minutes ago . I want to know if I should take him to the emergency room tomorrow morning ot wait until his regular check up that is scheduled 4 days from now.

Pediatrician 's  Response
If he does not have frequent watery stools, no fever and is active there is no need to worry. Diarrhea is quite common at this age. If he passed blood and mucus along with stool you need to show him asap. Give him plenty of fluids. At this age he should tolerate whole milk. But if the problem recurs every time you give whole milk you may have to consider changing it.
