Sickle Cell Disease, Sickle Nature Of Blood Cells. Chances Of Contracting Dengue Or Malaria?
Good day. I am a patient with Sickle Cell Disease (I am a SC) and was told previously by a doctor that I need not worry about Dengue or Malaria because of the sickle nature of my blood cell . However, a couple minutes ago, I heard on the local news that a 15 Sickle Cell patient died from Dengue. What is the truth as it relates to Sickle Cell and Dengue?

good evening, sickle cell disease patients will not contract malaria, but its not true for dengue fever as far as i know, so please keep urselves safe from mosquitoes as this is the prime season for dengue fever.
