Hi. Thyroid cancers can be of various types. The papillary and follicular types have a better outcome. The medullary, anaplastic cancer and lymphoma of thyroid have a poor prognosis. Anplastic cancer has the worst outcome, since it spreads throughout the body easily. Papillary and Follicular cancer can be operated if detected early, followed by radiation therapy, and hence have a better outcome.

Hi. From your description it sounds like stage 4 liver cancer (Metastasis to spine). Scientific data predicts life expectancy of 6 months to 1 year for such cancer. Statistics have shown only 7% as the stage 4 liver cancer survival rates for a 5 year period. If surgically removed, 75% can live more than 1 year, 50% more than 3 and 30% more than 5 years.
