Hi and sorry to hear about this. Pin worms are best diagnosed by doing a stool exam. They typically prseent with anal pruritus. Infection is by the feco-oral route. They are best treated by taking albendazole 400mg once or mebendazole 100mg once by mouth. Repeat this treatment after 14days. Always wash your hands before eating and after visiting the toilet. you need good hygeine. You need to take anti worm pills like albendazole and repeat after 2 weeks. Another medicine is pyrantal palmoate. Not only just you, your family members and room mates need to be treated. Otherwise it can come back. Cut your finger nails and keep it clean.
