Dietitian & Nutritionist 's  Response
Hello. What are your thyroid levels. Suggest you do a free T3, T4 and TSH. Also have you done a lipid progile (cholesterol ,triglyceride ) recently. Galvus met will help you lose weight. You need to meet a nutritionist and work out a meal plan which will help you lose weight especially body fat. Aim at a diet which is rich in complex carbohydrates (whole grain cereal like whole wheat ,wheat bran ,other millets , oats ,oat bran, vegetables, sprouts, and whole fruits). Avoid refined foods like colas, concentrated sweets, sugar and products made from maida. keep the oil to the minimum. You may include methi seeds(soaked overnight) and taken in the morning on empty stomach. Eating grapefruit has shown to help people reduce insulin resistance. 150 mins of activity or 10,000 steps are advised daily. A good mix of cardio with resistance or weight training will help reduce body fat and improve insulin resistance. I am sure that under professional guidance you will definitely achieve your health goal. Good luck !
