Hi,

Thank you for your query.

The colour and consistency of stool can vary from time to time and one or two motions should not be a cause of worry. However, if the frequency of motion is unusually more or the stools are watery then one needs to worry. You should continue feeding the baby regularly but ensure that the bottle and nipple hygiene is well maintained. Any compromise in the hygiene can be the source of infection and change the stool pattern.

I hope I have answered your query to your satisfaction.

Wishing your daughter all the best.

Regards,

RKK

Hi,
Lactogen 1 contains very small amount of iron
Normally iron in the stools can cause greenish stools.
Sometimes too rapid transit of stool in the intestine can also causes this.
Anyway you can wait and watch.
Neonatal jaundice on day 1 has no relation to this usually.
