Hello, not it's not. A heart rate as fast as 98 can only be justified by physical activity. If you've got 98 beats per minute, without engaging into physical activity, then investigation is needed. Dear Patient, irregular heart rate means that between your heart beats there is a huge difference between the pauses (long pauses, very short pauses) changing. Also the heart rate shouldn't be lower than 40/50bpm and also not higher than 90/100, depending on other medical conditions though. Best regards
