Do I Need A Second Surgery To Remove Epiretinal Membrane?

Hi dr. John

I did last month a surgery to remove EPIretinal on my right eye, last day I made an OCT Scan, and the conclusion was "epi-macular membranes with outer retinal edema"

Central foveal thickness is 315, It was 395.

Do you think I still need another surgery?

sincerely yours

Hello
It seems from the history that you are having epiretinal membrane with macular edema as diagnosed by OCT.
The macular edema can be treated by antiinflammatory drugs or by intravitreal injections of steroids.
If it is not responsive then you may require second surgery for removal of the epiretinal membrane.

Thank you
