IN CASE OF LOW HEART RATE

doctor1 MD

Hello, not it's not. A heart rate as fast as 98 can only be justified by physical activity. If you've got 98 beats per minute, without engaging into physical activity, then investigation is needed. Various conditions may cause it like anemia, thyroid disease, infections, severe dehydration, arrhythmias etc You've got to visit your doctor for the necessary investigation. Kind Regards!

Hi, Your son is having anemia i.e. low hemoglobin(Hb) Low Hb means less oxygen supplied to body tissues and hence to overcome this deficit body increases heart rate to supply more oxygen in given time. I would advice you to visit your physician for further tests for identifying the type and cause of anemia and appropriate treatment for the same.
