Suggest Treatment For Vertebral Injury

My husband had a car accident June 19th and broke his L1 vertebrae. He has some nerve damage but is doing fairly well with therapy. They did surgery on his back the next day and stabilized the fracture, my question is can he completely recovery from damage with therapy and how long will it take?

Hi,
FRACTURE associated with neurological deficit.-- fracture needs stabilization and post op rehabilitation (physiotherapy ) .How long it may take for the power to come to normal ???? This is very difficult to say. Some get it back in about few weeks , some in months, some do not get it back at all.

Just concentrate on physiotherapy and exercises.Make your husband feel positive and that he wil be normal. This should give him more confidence to exercise.
