What Is The Cause For Sleep Walk After An Injury?

I banged my head really bad whilst drunk and I think i may have concussion I don't remember anything and apparently fell asleep quickly after it happened and i was sick and have a huge bump on my head and headache. I also started to sleep walk which is something i have never done before? Could the head injury of triggered the sleep walking in this occasion?

Hi,

Thank you for posting your query.

Most probably, your recent head injury has not contributed to your sleep walking.

However, we need to exclude seizures as a possible cause for your confusion and sleep walking. this in turn can be due to head injury, if there is an internal injury to the brain.

A CT scan of brain and sleep study should be done, to ascertain the cause of your symptoms.
