Is A Surgery Recommended For Cleft Palate ?

Hello, my baby has cleft palate & she is 10 months old now. Her weight is 7.6 kg I want to know that should I go for the surgery now or should I wait for some time. I want the surgery can b done asap as dr. said that he can operate at 7.5 kg weight. But I want to know more expert opinions about it. thanks.

hello thanks for the consultation at hcm,,,there r phases to cl palate surgeries, 1st phase begins at 8-10 months old, it creates a functional palate..Additional surgeries may be performed to improve the appearance of the lip and nose, close openings between the mouth and nose, help breathing, and stabilize and realign the jaw. kindly consult ur oral surgeon r plastic surgeon for the surgery.. hope it helps,, tc
