How To Prevent The Spread Of Head Lice?

Hi I just discovered lice in my 10 yr old and 1 and a half year old's hair. I picked all the nits out got them in the tub and shower with tea tree oil shampoo and afterward did their hair again. I found a couple of more critters and hope I got all the nits. Is there any household item I could use to prevent them from getting more?

i,

I can understand your concern for head lice in hair of your kids. There is a possibility of Pediculosis in your case which are mites which appears on scalp and other hairy sites.

If I were your treating dermatologist then would have prescribed you to apply a lotion containing permethrin for 24 hours or Ivermenctin lotion for 2 hours available as OTC drug. Do not apply near your eyes as it can cause irritation to the local mucosal sites.

If any itching is there then you can take an antihistamine tablet accordingly.

All the best.
